My LVL Experience at House of Beauty

For my entire life, I have always been envious of people who have long, lucious lashes - it's something that I definitely wasn't blessed with growing up.. Instead, I was blessed with short, straight eyelashes, that cannot hold a curl. Another thing I wasn't blessed with, was the ability to apply false eyelashes. My eyes are always too small for lash sizes, and despite my attempts of cutting them to size, they would never hold to my eyes, or start to fall off about an hour after wear. I have tried various styles, brands and sizes of lashes, but nothing ever lasts long. So I gave up, and instead I learned to live with the lashes I was given, until...

I found the LVL Lash Lift!!

To give an idea of what the LVL Lash Lift is, I thought I'd use the description from the Nouveau Lashes website, as it will be a much better explanation that what I can give.

"Unlike a traditional lash perm, LVL Enhance straightens your natural lashes at the root, creating the appearance of longer, thicker lashes. Plus the added lash tint creates a mascara-style effect, so your lashes are perfect from the moment you wake up. No extensions, no adhesive and no need for mascara!

Ideal for those seeking a more natural look, the treatment can take as little as 45 minutes but the effects are instant. Indulge in this relaxing treatment by visiting one of our trained LVL lash technicians who will provide you with a comfortable set-up in a relaxing environment and perform a closed-eye procedure while you unwind."

If you're based in South Wales, this will be great for you because I can recommend the salon I went to, a million times over. If you're not based in South Wales, then find out where you can get a LVL Lash Lift close to you, because this is something every girl needs.

House of Beauty is a salon based in Bedwas, that can offer pretty much anything you want. I go there to get my brows waxed and lashes tinted monthly, I've also had acrylic and gel nails done there. Anything you can think of, the girls can more than likely do. My go to beautician at House of Beauty is Alice, she is an absolute babe, makes you feel right at home and is super professional - as well as being an absolute queen at her job!

My LVL experience was very straight forward. I went to the salon, got comfy and then Alice placed little pads underneath my eyes to protect, and then on my eyelids to help perm. She then applied the first lotion to hold my lashes down, then another to hold the perm, and then tinted my lashes. The whole process took around 45 minutes, so a great amount of time for a good catch up and gossip. It wasn't uncomfortable at all and didn't make my eyes sore (my eyes water like mad every time I get my lashes tinted, so I was pretty impressed by this).

Once the tint and lotion had been removed, Alice then gently took the pads off of my eyes, to which I was then blessed with beautifully curled, full looking lashes! You're unable to get the lashes wet for 48 hours in order for the treatment to fully set, and then you're good to go for about 6 weeks.

Considering how crap my lashes usually look, I was so impressed by the hold of this!! Weeks after, I was getting comments on my lashes, and when I didn't have eye make up on, people thought I did! I will definitely be getting this treatment done again, and it'd be perfect for if you were going travelling or on holiday and didn't want to bother with makeup, but also wanted to keep your lashes natural!

Have you had an LVL Lash Lift? I'd love to hear about your experience.

  1. this sounds amazing! I have fairly long eyelashes but agree that applying fake ones is near enough impossible as they just don't stick!

Love the look of this though, yours look so different afterwards! xo

  2. Ooh these look amazing! I really would like to try this, as I'm rubbish at wearing false lashes (my eyes are small so they never fit and jab me in the eye). And I've heard extensions can damage your lashes. I think I'll have to add this to my wishlist for a payday treat. Thanks for sharing your experience X

  3. Great write-up! I have very similas lashes to yours and have tried a lot of things to keep a curl in them. I've found the most effective way is to warm my curlers with a hair dryer, ahead of mascara. It sometimes works, sometimes makes me look very shocked!
