#BareSelfieUK

There is nothing that bloggers love more that exciting PR emails. On a boring Thursday afternoon I received an email from Bare Minerals asking for my address because they wanted to send me something. I was over the moon with this email, I had never worked with Bare Minerals and never owned a Bare Minerals product, so I jumped to the chance of receiving something.

A few weeks later I received possibly the best package ever. If you follow me on instagram (@abistreet) you will have seen this photo that I posted. I honestly cant thank Bare Minerals enough for sending me this wonderful package and kitting me out with tons of makeup. The reason for Bare Minerals sending me this amazing package is for their #BareSelfieUK competition. I will explain the competition after I have shown you what I received in my package and give a little review of each of the products since I've been using them.

The first thing I received was this gorgeous Pop of Passion lipstick in the shade Pink Passion. I'm not usually one for brighter pinks, I tend to stick to reds, plums and nudes. I feel that bright pinks can be quite risky with blonde hair and can result in looking like Barbie. I've worn this lipstick a few times now and I actually really like it, the colour doesn't come across too over powering once applied so gives a nice subtle pink shade, it is also super hydrating which I love.

The second item in the package was the Bare Minerals Ready Bronzer in the shade The Skinny Dip. I am now a lover of contouring and always use my Benefit Hoola Bronzer. I'm not entirely sure if i like this bronzer, just because I feel as though it's quite orangey on my skin, but I'm not sure if I'm just being overly critical of myself!

The third item is the Bareskin Perfecting Veil in the shade Light to Medium. I've actually started using the Collection Loose Powder as my everyday powder, but I love this pressed powder. It goes on so easily and it honestly feels completely weightless on your skin.

The fourth item is the Bare Minerals Original SPF 15 Foundation in Fairly Light. This foundation for me was a whole new concept. This is a loose powder foundation. I'm still not 100% sure if I like this, just because i'm so used to liquid foundations, and because my skin is blemish prone I feel it doesn't give me as much coverage as I would like. However, if you have clear skin and want something light, this foundation is perfect. It honestly feels like you have nothing on your skin and looks so natural.

The fifth item I received was the Bare Skin Complete Coverage Serum Concealer in Fair. I really like this concealer, its full coverage so great at covering any blemishes or under eye circles. This concealer is really thick, so a little definitely goes a long way which is great because hopefully this product will last a long time.

The sixth product I received was Lash Domination Mascara in Intense Black. I think out of all of the products I received, this was my favourite. I'm constantly on the hunt for a new mascara, unfortunately I was blessed with short, straight eyelashes which is a right pain. This mascara lengthens them and makes them look luscious!

The seventh item I received was the Supreme Finisher brush, I can safely say that this is the softest brush I have ever touched in my life. As soon as I received it, I was making everyone touch it just so I could prove how soft it was. I use this with the Perfecting Veil powder and it works a treat, the powder easily glides on with an even finish.

The eighth item I received was the Smoothing Face brush, I'm not exactly sure what this is mean to be used for, but I've been using it with the Powder foundation and it works well. The brush doesn't pick up too much product which is great, and I can buff the foundation into my skin easily.

And the final item I received was this selfie stick! Although everyone hates selfie sticks, I think they're great, they are perfect for getting group photos with your pals and good selfies if you have arms of a T-Rex like I do! Also how cute is my phone case? You can get 20% Coconut Lane by using my code abistreet20, Happy shopping!

This is my final bare selfie, using all the products I received, and Dip Brow Pomade for my brows. I love all of the makeup and a few pieces have made it into my everyday makeup bag.

Bare Minerals are holding an amazing competition which opens April 3rd, so make sure you enter! The prizes up for grabs are a UK Spa weekend for two, an exclusive Bare Minerals selfie kit similar to the one I received and a limited edition GHD Azores Styler. All you have to do to enter is visit a Bare Minerals counter with a friend, enjoy a makeup lesson of your choice, take a picture of the look and upload it to social media using the hashtag #BARESELFIEUK and tag @bareMineralsUK

The competition closes on April 30th and the winner will be announced on May 6th! Good luck girls. Another huge thank you to Bare Minerals or making this happen

  5. BareMinerals are such a great brand. I've tried a couple things from them over the years. That Smoothing Face brush is one of my favourite brushes that I own. Also, the concealer looks interesting. Might have to look into that. :)
